Here’s a first in the knitting world! Remember doctor house calls and the Fuller brush man? Well, now there’s funny, knowledgeable Linda Ostroff, the Traveling Yarn Lady, who brings her Traveling Yarn-mobile to knitting groups near and far, dispensing hundreds of unique yarns, along with knitting tips, free patterns and witticisms.

Knitting groups tend to bring together diverse and wonderful groups of individuals who form lasting friendships. Like her yarns, Linda, a lifelong knitter, blends seamlessly into the multi-hued groups of individuals she visits and receives frequent requests for "repeat performances." Linda will help with individual projects and will bring along pre-requested items, everything from yarns for baby blankets or socks, to all wool products and Linda’s own unique custom blends encompassing her Mom's Words of Wisdom" line, including "Mind Your Manners," "Eat Your Peas," "Don't Run With Scissors," and "Don't Tell Dad." Linda features yarns from Berroco, Trendsetter, Great Adirondack, Jojoland and Feza, and is especially proud of the focus on American made brands.

Even if you aren’t part of a regular group, simply gather together 10 or more fellow knitters and Linda will appear at your home, the nearest bookstore, or other convenient venue, with yummy yarns and knitting directions. She also brings along loads of accessories, from stitch holders to knit kits and other ideal gift items.
